Elizabeth β€œLiz” Nevills

Elizabeth became interested in sled dogs when she went to the McCall Winter Festival as a teenager. She got hooked on it when she was able to dog handle for the 2003 Iditarod and started mushing six years ago when her husband finished out of his military service.

Elizabeth describes a mushing highlight when she got her first red lantern trophy in the American Dog Derby 40 mile race. It was a lot of fun to earn that!  Liz looks forward to someday completing the Triple Crown and running the longer distance races.
